Carnival Row intake

Based on Beacham's unproduced film spec script A Killing on Carnival Row, René Echevarria and Travis Beacham created the American fantasy television series Carnival Row. Stars of the show include Jared Harris, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Orlando Bloom. The show centers on mythical creatures who must endure oppression as refugees in human society as a detective tries to solve murders that may be related to them.

On August 30, 2019, the whole first season of Carnival Row was made available on Amazon Prime Video. The show was given a second season in July 2019 by Amazon, which debuted on February 17, 2023, and served as the show's last season, ending on March 17, 2023.

As tensions between locals and the expanding immigrant population simmer, "mythical creatures... have fled their war-torn homeland and gathered in the city," according to Carnival Row.[4] Whatever uncomfortable peace there is is being eroded by an inquiry into a spate of unsolved killings, issues with abuse of power, unresolved love, and social changes.

The suspense in this series is knife edge couple with questioning intricacies and the second season heighten it to a whole new level having one yarning for resolution, a brilliant masterful written fantasy. The characters Bildungsroman is another genius of this series you have to watch for your self and you would not regret it. The conversion between Philo and Dumby in the end really gat me,

Philo: Inspector now, is it?

Dombey: A credit to the force they said.

Philo: Have they met you?

Dombey: Piss off.

                 Anyway, I'll ain to be.

Philo: late than never I suppose.

Dombey: You know, you might've mentioned that you were Breakspear's son.

Philo: would it have made you any less of a prick?

Dombey: Of course.

                 To your face.
