Tinubu denies rumours of Surgery, speaks on French Trip

After spending approximately a month in Paris, France, the country's newly elected president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived back on Monday night.

In the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja, when his jet landed, he was met by a huge crowd of ecstatic friends and fans.

Together with his wife, senator Remi Tinubu, and son, Seyi Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos was present.

Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, former governors of Borno State Ali Modu Sheriff, and Simon Lalong (Plateau) were all there at the airport to welcome him.

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the former head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Deputy National Chairman of the APC for the South, Barrister Emma Enekwu, and Dr. Betta Edu, the National Woman Leader, were all present at the airport.

Additionally present were Senators Barau Jibril, Adeola Olamilekan Yahyi, Opeyemi Bamidele, Dayo Adeyeye, Sabi Abdullahi, and Adelere Oriolowo, as well as Hon. James Faleke, Babajimi Benson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, and the Secretary of the recently disbanded Presidential Campaign Council.

I'm glad to be back," the President-elect remarked as he addressed the audience at the airport. I've had a nap, and I feel relaxed and prepared for the work ahead.

“Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”

When questioned about his goals for the nation, he stated that he had been planning and consulting in order to assemble a solid team so he could get started right away after taking office on May 29.

After a busy campaign and election season, the President-elect left the country on March 21 for a vacation in Paris.
