Emefiele is detained by DSS agents in Lagos.

Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) suspended governor, has been taken into custody by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Lagos State.

According to POLITICS NIGERIA, Emefiele was apprehended while allegedly trying to elude authorities by crossing a land border.

He can be seen being transported to an aircraft by DSS agents in the arrest footage.

This change comes after a string of incidents that began with President Bola Tinubu's suspension of him. Initial claims that surfaced on Saturday morning were contradicted by the DSS's denial of having possession of Emefiele.
