Six people are thought dead in Ogun after consuming alcohol that was purportedly provided by a friend to end a disagreement.

According to reports, seven buddies got together to have fun and settle their differences.

As part of the efforts to make amends, one of the buddies gave away a bottle of wine.

Six people are said to have passed away after consuming alcohol that was allegedly provided to them by a friend in Ogbogbo, an area of Ogun State in the Ijebu-North East region.

It was learned that the event took place on Tuesday at a bar where seven friends had met to celebrate.

All six of the people who drank the booze perished, according to sources, with the exception of the seventh, who reportedly brought the beverage from home.

Before the incident, the suspect and the deceased people got into a heated disagreement that was later resolved.

The informant alleged that as part of the reconciliation efforts, the suspect then volunteered to donate a bottle of alcohol.

According to reports, the man went home and brought the drink, which all six of his pals consumed except for him.

It was discovered that two of the companions had passed away and four others had been hospitalized a few hours after they left for their respective destinations.

According to the source, the suspect left the town while the other four people perished the following day.

As of the time I was chatting with you, six persons had been declared dead. The man who provided the drink is still at large, the speaker continued.

Omolola Odutola, the state police's public relations officer, confirmed the event.

Odutola didn't disclose how many people were impacted, though.

"I just confirmed something like that occurred," she stated, "but the families said they were not pressing charges and preferred to bury their dead."

Another tragic event occurred on Saturday when a fence fell on two siblings, Gbolahan and Olayinka Atolagbe, who lived in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos State.

NIGERIA discovered that the incident happened in a downpour on Alao Street in Ishawo.

After being trapped for several hours in the midst of neighborhood members' rescue efforts, the remains of the two kids were found.
