His rival, in contrast, did not secure any votes during the election, highlighting the overwhelming endorsement of the President by the party's delegates in the state.
The process of tabulating the votes was closely overseen by representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), headed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Umar Mukhtar Gajiram. Additionally, security agency heads, election observers, and members of the press were present to ensure transparency.
Notable figures attending the collation center included the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, the APC gubernatorial candidate Dr. Jamilu Gwamna, as well as the party's candidates for senatorial and House of Representatives positions.
The event was graced by senior party officials, who praised the peaceful and well-organized nature of the primary, commending the orderly manner in which it was conducted.
This outcome solidifies President Tinubu's standing as the APC's chosen candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
