*Incident Report: APC House of Representatives Primary Election – Ward G (D3), Agura/Iponmi*

The APC House of Representatives primary election held in *Ward G (D3), Agura/Iponmi* was marred by intimidation, disruption, and alleged irregularities, making it a show of shame for the party’s internal democratic process.

*Key Issues Observed in Ward G (D3), Agura/Iponmi:*

1. *Intimidation of Members*

Genuine APC members in Ward G (D3) were allegedly threatened and intimidated to prevent them from participating freely in the voting process.

2. *Use of Non-Members to Disrupt the Process*

Individuals without valid APC membership slips were allegedly brought into Ward G (D3) to disrupt proceedings and interfere with the election.

3. *Presence of Fake Officials*

No official register was presented. Unknown persons posing as electoral officials conducted the exercise in Ward G (D3) without proper verification. Instead of following due process, they aligned the conduct of the election in favor of the camp of Hon. Jimi Benson.

4. *Outcome Under Fair Conditions*

Had the primary election been conducted in line with party guidelines, Hon. Abdul Karim Olugbenga Shittu would have emerged the winner, all things being equal.

*Implication:*

These actions undermined the credibility of the primary election in *Ward G (D3), Agura/Iponmi*. The use of intimidation, fake officials, and non-members contradicts the APC’s stated commitment to direct primaries and internal democracy. We therefore call on the party leadership and the Appeal Committee to investigate this matter and take appropriate action to uphold justice and the integrity of the process.
