Funke Akindele-Bello is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director. She was born on August 24, 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. Her early life was spent in Lagos, Nigeria where she completed her primary and secondary education. She later attended the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where she studied Law.
She began her acting career in the late 1990s and early 2000s, appearing in several Nigerian films and television series. She rose to fame in 2008 with her lead role in the popular television series “Jenifa,” which she also produced. The show was a critical and commercial success, and earned her several awards and nominations for her performance.
In addition to her acting career, Akindele is also known for her work as a producer and director. She established her own production company, Scene One Productions, in 2009, through which she has produced several successful television series and films, including “Jenifa’s Diary” and “Industreet.”
