Over the weekend, Governor Nyesom Wike of the state of Rivers reacted on Professor Alphonsus Nwosu's recent resignation from the PDP, adding gasoline to the fire that has been blazing within the party. Nwosu reportedly left the PDP because of his conscience being troubled by the party's failure to follow its constitution regarding a zoning issue, according to Wike. Wike stated that those who are trying to treat the southern bloc of the party like second-class members should be prepared to pay the price for their actions.
Rivers, Port Harcourt - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar, the party's presidential candidate, have received a harsh warning from Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, regarding a scheme to treat the southern wing of the party like second-class citizens. According to Leadership, Wike issued the warning in response to Professor Alphonsus Nwosu's resignation from the PDP Board of Trustees.
