Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the recently held election, finally spoke up about a contentious claimed phone call he had with Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church (a.k.a winners chapel).
Once a rumored recording of a conversation between Obi and the famous cleric surfaced on social media over the weekend, there were conflicting views.
Obi allegedly told Bishop Oyedepo that the 2023 presidential race would be a "religious war" and begged the well-liked Pastor to assist him turn out Christian voters.
Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, also charged Obi with encouraging violence among Nigerians in response to the results of the presidential election.
